CD Review: Temecula Road – “Maybe Not” – by Preshias Harris for Country Music News International Magazine & Radio Show

Temecula Road – “Maybe Not” – by Preshias Harris for Country Music News International Magazine & Radio Show

The new single is a sweet, flirty
pop-country song that takes full advantage of the young trio’s
spot-on harmonies. Sisters Emma and Maddie Salute have a sound that
feels like a blend of Maddie & Tae, Maren Morris and a hint of
Kelsea Ballerini, but the addition of Dawson Anderson’s male vocals
gives the trio a unique sound. The playful lyrics hint at a date
that might or might not lead to something more: “Maybe here and now
that’s all we got / And maybe / You’re going to hate me / Maybe,
I won’t be calling you baby / Or maybe not.”

The song has an interesting history in
that it started out as a slow ballad. However, Emma said that after
playing it on the road for over a year it took on a new life as a
fun, flirty more up-tempo love song. “Maybe Not” is Temecula
Road’s third single release this year following “Fades” and
“Never Knew I Needed You” which hit Top 5 and Top 15 respectively
on Radio Disney Country’s Top 50 Chart. Listen to the song at
