It never ceases to amaze me how
Jesus Christ makes His presence known in such a topsy-turvy political
scandal ‘time’ we live in.  Ruth Onley’s very first song “Unbelievable
Love” makes one of the most inspiring and ‘true’ statements anyone who
believes in Christ will understandably say “yes yes yes, I agree.”  It’s
also very inspiring to me, during a time in American politics it could
hardly get any worse than it is today, Christ still makes His presence
known to us.  All of us are waiting for the ‘way’ to appear, and that is
quite obviously beginning to show us the why and wherefore it all is.
Ruth Onley is a Canadian singer, much in the vein of Anne Murray’s
beautiful voice.  Her song “Snowbird” written by Gene MacLellan is also
reminiscent of the wonderful songs we hear on this album by Ruth Ann
Onley.  They are individually written from specific Gospel references.
“Unbelievable Love” for instance refers to John 3:16.  So it is with all
the songs on this wonderful CD.  For long time believers in Jesus
Christ this is a beautiful testimony.  For those who are not familiar
with the teachings of God’s only Son, it’s a beautiful introduction to
the very reason He walked on planet earth.  I’m very impressed with Ruth
Ann Onley’s ability to place so much sincerity in her recording, and so
much dedication to our Lord Jesus Christ who will be with all of us who
‘believe’ in the not too distant future it’s beginning to appear.  We
are observing a strange political war in America these days, and ‘evil’
is obviously directing the action.  We must do all we can to at least
introduce the teachings of Jesus to anyone and everyone who is
unfamiliar with His reason for existence.  This album is dramatically
doing that in a most wonderful way.  There’s full orchestration behind
Ruth’s stunning voice, and it’s not ‘traditional’ country music, but I
love it anyway.  She is directing a lot of the music to her family,
especially her three sons.  She notes on the liner “Train up a child in
the way he should go and when he is old he will not depart from it.” She
also makes it very clear that she is dedicating this album to her
parents, “I am forever thankful to God for the strong, Christian
heritage they passed on; the gift of music from a radiant mother; for
the generous wisdom of a Godly father, and for their constant love,
support, and endless encouragement in all my musical journeys.”  This is
a wonderfully remarkable way to pass along the Gospel.  For those that
are so unfortunate to ‘not’ know this incredible ‘truth’ about who Jesus
Christ was, and ‘why’ He selected us, is an amazing experience.  My
prayer is that the ‘truth’ that Ruth Ann Onley’s is singing about on
this wonderful album will be passed along to whoever ‘needs’ this
message.  Thank you Ms. Onley for such a beautiful listening experience.
