CD Review: Maddie & Tae – Bathroom Floor – by Preshias Harris for Country Music News International Magazine & Radio Show

Maddie & Tae will release their
next major project, the second part of Everywhere I’m Goin’
(Mercury Nashville), on 18 October, 2019. Meanwhile, the duo has
released “Bathroom Floor,” a single from Everywhere. It’s
a fast-paced, uptempo song, full of encouragement and sympathy from
one girl to another who has been let down again by a guy in her life.
They’ll go out, have a good time and forget about that loser:
“it’s gonna be hard but trust me girl / Get up off the bathroom
floor / wipe the tears off your cheeks / put on a dress and get out
that door / Girl, the first shot’s on me.” The song is a
powerful, foot-stomping party track that will set the dance floor
rocking whenever it’s played. Written by Maddie & Tae’s
Maddie Marlow and Taylor Dye along with Josh Kerr, the song (and the
album) was produced by Jimmy Robbins and Derek Wells. It is the
perfect antidote to the duo’s previous single, the sad “Die From
a Broken Heart,” that earned the more than 75 million streams
worldwide. “Bathroom Floor” is arguably their best song yet and
is set to add to their reputation as the Best Streaming Country
Female Duo of ALL TIME with 686 MILLION streams worldwide. Watch the
