One of the great
things about music is that you never know what you’re going to
hear. Not every artist sounds the same and each artist brings their
unique talents to each song they perform. It’s always fun to
discover a new artist and listen to great music.
I recently had an
opportunity to see Charles Parker perform during CMA Fest in
Nashville and this guy is a real talent. “Party Girls and Chicken
Wings” is the latest 7 track EP from Charles Parker and it’s a
fun, playful Country Vibe album from start to finish. “Party
Girls,” the last track on the EP has done very well for Parker and
is currently charting on the Music Row Country Breakout Chart. The
track will have you tapping your toe and you’ll love the heavy
guitar licks throughout the track. Parker delivers throughout the EP
with strong, original tracks that are very well produced. Parker
claims that some of his early influences were the Partridge Family
and the Bay City Rollers. The first track on the EP, “The Closest
Thing to Heaven,” definently has a David Cassidy/Partridge Family
vibe, but with heavier guitar licks. His later influences in life
from Kiss and other hair bands are more evident as you delve deeper
into the album.
Parker has been performing for over 20 years and saw success with his
2017 Country Single, “Bring Back The Sun,” which charted all the
way to #81 on the Music Row Country Music Breakout Chart. Unique in
his style and delivery, Parker is a talented artist that still has a
passion for music that is evident in his latest release. Make sure
you download or stream these songs that I know you will enjoy. This
is a solid 5 out of 5 star album.
