Billy Keeble is a Honky Tonk Veteran. As his album title suggests it is his last album.
But don’t be too quick to count this set out as a tired and worn out collection of songs
from a road weary cowboy at the end of the trail. Billy has a lot of life left in him. His
singing on this set is the strongest it has ever been and his delivery sounds as if he is
having the best time of his life.
If you like pedal steel and fiddle in your country music you will love this album. Every
song sounds like it was made to dance to and will be right at home in every honky tonk
on the planet. One More Drink is a standout as is You’re Still in These Crazy Arms. My
favorites though are the Fifth of the Month and Redneck Honky Tonk.
This is a very enjoyable set of great honky tonk music from a great honky tonk singer. I
sure hope Billy changes his mind and decides to record another album down the road.
In the meantime get this one for your collection and check out his website for where you
can see Billy play and also find out when he is on the air. He is a pretty good DJ too!
