CD Review: ALLEN KARL & DONNA CUNNINGHAM – Let It Be Me

ALLEN KARL & DONNA CUNNINGHAM

Let It Be Me

This ‘one song’ sampler, made especially for disc jockey use, is
a remarkable demonstration of the incredible talent combination of two
very gifted vocalists, Allen Karl from Maryland, and Donna Cunningham
from Ohio.  This is classic country at its very best, a combination of
strong vocal choir in the background, and extremely well done piano and
guitar work in the backing.  This is also a well ‘mixed’ album
representation, with the fiddle doing it’s very best to sound other than
a down-home fiddle, and greatly improves the ‘sound’ of this very
romantic song this duo did together. It’s a project of Century II
Records in Nashville, this beautiful love song was written by Gilbert
Beaud, Manny Curtis, and Pierre Delance.  Incredible both in the words
of the song, and the voices that describe them in melodious terms.  Good
job well done.
