I’d
have to say this is one band that I strictly wanted to review because
the name sounded intriguing. I really hope I don’t feel let down.
Return
to our Innocence,
starts
and all I can think is wow I can really pick ‘em. I have to thank
Lucy so much for these headphones. They are the perfect kind to get
that crystal-clear sound, sit back, crank it up, and enjoy. And,
that’s what is needed for this first song.
Ameno
Amen
,
is another one of those songs. It’s very digitalized, very
synthesized so far it’s a different day and now that I’m not
about to go to sleep it sounds a bit different. I still like it yet
the title seems a bit of a turn off. If I wanted to pray I’d go to
church, and I wouldn’t be caught dead in one of those places. A
hangover killing Bloody Mary is a much better idea for a Sunday
morning.
Sahara
Rising
,
to me sounds a bit like the same thing. This time it’s different,
at first it sounds like someone is drowning a drunken kangaroo after
they hit it over the head with a bat; absolutely no actual audible
words. Oh now the singing begins, no wait a minute someone has
figured a way to strap a chicken to a piano and fly it on a kite
during a hurricane.
Diamond
Cor
,
first let me be fair. It starts off slow then again I guess it’s
supposed to be a mixture of languages. Everything is synthesized and
digital. I guess it’s supposed to have a Middle Eastern feel. Now,
for my advice whoever filmed this video should be fired. I mean
seriously what do three butch looking wannabe punk rockers have to do
with little girls. Is this some way to say, “We are coming to take
your children?” A teenager should have never been put in charge of
this, and I’m not even saying I like it. The little swords and
swordfight between the one older girl and the little girl is by far
the worst thing I have ever seen.
You
may ask who gave me the right to be able to put something like this
down. Well, I wound up on Atlantis on a pyramid with a special shaman
stone that the great goddess Ariel gave me. Oh did I forget to tell
everyone she was a mermaid with mystical powers. And, then she gave
me this special golden keyboard with a screen that she called The
Magical Key – Board. So I touched it with my fingers and all of a
sudden I saw a light that covered me. The light told me I was now an
amazing sorcerer named Merlin. Then, I received special glasses so I
could see clearly. I was also given a power called math, and
knowledge. With that special math gift I made a calculation. I am
forty years old. I spent ten years of my life in Taiwan. I have been
back in the United States for over a year. My wife is Taiwanese. So
therefore she either left Taiwan when she was seven or younger or she
is a great deal older than forty. I didn’t hear any Chinese or
Taiwanese in any of the songs I listened to. So why, on the website
is this promoted as being such a big part of this.
I
would suggest that next time instead of looking like a complete
fraudster feeding off the youth and their naivety that you may as
well just say, “I was born in Taiwan and raised in California where
I developed an interest in New Age Music.” It would come off a lot
better. The worst part about it is if all the B.S. was gone and her
voice was actually given a chance without the excess reverb, the
unnecessary drums, the heavy digital bass, and all of the overlying
tracks I may have a totally different outlook. But, you got to
remember first impressions count. I mean there was really no need to
name drop all of those names on the site. That video was horrendous.
And even on
Ave
Marie
,
which really showcases her vocal talent has it way overdone in the
production.
