NASHVILLE, TN – (January 15, 2013) – Carnival Music’s newcomer Brent Cobb
is fueling the fire with the exclusive online debut of his latest
installment in “The Fireside Sessions,” a unique live music video series
that launched in December 2012. The new video features an intimate look
at Brent’s fan favorite tune, “Diggin’ Holes,” co-written by himself
and Casey Wood. The Ellaville, Georgia native’s witty and spirited song
comes to life on Country Music Is Love today, Tuesday (1/15).
Directed by Reid Long and filmed at
dusk around a roaring campfire on a farm just outside of Nashville, TN,
the video captures Brent’s gripping, passionate vocals, rhythmic
melodies and laid-back personality.
“Casey and I wrote ‘Diggin’ Holes’ the first time we got together to write. We were both sort of in the dog house at that time in our lives and trying to make ends meet,” said Brent to Country Music Is Love.
“Casey shared that his brother, who could play music, never came to
Nashville. He chose to stay back in Kentucky to work in the coal mines
… because he was ‘pretty good at diggin’ holes.’ The phrase stuck and
we combined that idea with not being great in a relationship. The
outcome felt honest.”
Brent has quickly become known as one
of Nashville’s most promising tunesmiths with his songs recorded by the
likes of Luke Bryan, Little Big Town, David Nail, Kellie Pickler and the
Eli Young Band. With the release of his debut single “Love On Me” to
country radio airwaves and self-titled EP produced by Matthew Miller and
Oran Thornton, Brent is turning the tables and bringing country music
fans his first recording as an artist.
Currently, Brent is out on the road
visiting radio and playing shows nationwide with upcoming dates in
Starkville, MS (1/17), Tuscaloosa, AL (1/18) and Oxford, MS (1/19).
