This isn’t just a song; it’s a testament to the power of shared belief and the deep roots of Australian country gospel. Each artist brings a lifetime of stories, a distinctive sound, and a generous soul to the track, creating a powerful reminder that no matter the challenges life presents, we are never truly alone. The song radiates that quintessential fireside storytelling feel—honest, steady, and profoundly reassuring. It beautifully encapsulates the idea that even amidst life’s wanderings, grace is present, and even in the most difficult times, hope shines through. “He’s Got The Whole World” is undoubtedly a standout moment on Brendon Walmsley’s anticipated album, Road to Riverleigh, promising to resonate deeply with anyone who appreciates genuine storytelling and music that speaks directly to the heart.

The Voices Behind the Harmony

Brendon Walmsley, a Queensland-born country and gospel singer-songwriter, is celebrated for his emotive storytelling and soulful performances. His journey to national recognition began with his win at the 1999 Toyota Star Maker competition, a springboard to a successful career adorned with three Golden Guitar awards and numerous Tamworth Songwriters Association accolades. In the early 2000s, he released three critically and commercially successful albums through Compass Bros Records before choosing to focus on his family and lead the music and production teams at his local church in Toowoomba, Queensland. Walmsley has also explored musical theatre, notably producing his own musical based on his hit song “Rose & Rodeo.” After a significant hiatus, Brendon made a much-anticipated return to the studio in 2024, meticulously crafting a new collection of songs with renowned producer Rod McCormack. This will be his fourth studio album, slated for release later this year. Fans have already had a taste of what’s to come with the release of singles such as “Road To Riverleigh,” “Cooladdi,” “How Sweet The Sound,” and “Broken.”

Colin Buchanan is a celebrated Australian singer and songwriter, widely recognized for his significant contributions to both country music and children’s Christian ministry. A true icon in the Australian music scene, Buchanan boasts an impressive nine Golden Guitars from the Australian Country Music Awards and holds the distinction of being Australia’s top-selling Christian artist after Hillsong. His children’s albums, including the beloved Remember the Lord, have become classics, nurturing a generation of young listeners in Australia and beyond. Beyond his musical achievements, Buchanan was a familiar face on ABC TV’s Play School from 1992 to 1999 and has collaborated with esteemed artists like Lee Kernaghan and Adam Brand. Buchanan’s music continues to uplift and inspire audiences with its heartfelt narratives and unwavering faith.

Steve Grace stands as a cornerstone of gospel music in Australia and internationally, known for his heartfelt storytelling and extensive touring. Growing up in Papua New Guinea with missionary parents instilled in him a deep connection to rural communities and a passion for sharing messages of hope through music. His 1988 album, Children of the Western World, achieved gold status in Australia, and his 1998 single “Big Dreams” soared to the top of the U.S. Billboard Gospel Charts. Over a career spanning more than 30 years, Grace has released over 20 albums and performed in a diverse array of settings, from remote Australian towns to grand international stages. His dedication to his craft and message was recognized in 1996 when he was honored as the International Artist of the Year by the Gospel Music Association of America. Steve Grace continues to inspire audiences with his steadfast faith and unwavering commitment to spreading the gospel through the power of song.

The convergence of these three remarkable artists on “He’s Got The Whole World” is more than just a musical event; it’s a moment of cultural significance for Australian country gospel. It’s a testament to the enduring power of faith, the strength of community, and the timeless appeal of stories told with heart and soul. Expect this track to be a beacon of hope and comfort for many.
