Brantley Gilbert’s debut album has gone gold. The Recording Industry
Association of America has certified “Halfway to Heaven” for selling
over 500,000 copies. Gilbert says in a statement that he never thought
his first major release would sell that much. He gave a big thanks to
“BG Nation and all ya’ll who bought a copy.” Gilbert’s latest single,
“You Don’t Know Her Like I Do” is now in the top 15 on the country
singles chart. He is nominated in the CMT breakthrough video of the year
category for his No. 1 hit “Country Must Be Country Wide.”
