The world of country music is a bustling highway, full of dreamers and troubadours vying for a spot in the spotlight. Among them, a South Carolina native named Brandon Wisham is not just cruising but confidently paving his own lane. With the release of his second single, “Better Than The Day,” Wisham isn’t just dropping another track; he’s delivering a potent dose of post-breakup resilience wrapped in a gritty, rock-tinged country package.

“Better Than The Day,” co-written by Wisham, Sam Ellis, and Lydia Sutherland, isn’t your typical mournful ballad. Instead, it’s a defiant roar, a “forget-you” anthem infused with a determined forward momentum. Imagine the feeling of finally seeing the sun after a relentless storm – that’s the energy Wisham channels. It’s a song for anyone who’s faced a dead end and decided to build a new road. After his debut single “Back Together” landed in March, this follow-up solidifies Wisham’s rapid ascent, showcasing an artist who knows exactly what he wants to say and how to say it.

Wisham himself radiates an understandable excitement about the new track. “I’m so excited to have my second single out!” he shares, a genuine enthusiasm echoing in his words. “This one was so fun to write and create. ‘Better Than The Day’ is a song that gives the brokenhearted hope that although it may seem dead-ended after a breakup, with time, things will get better. I’m looking forward to playing this one on the road!” This sentiment perfectly encapsulates the song’s appeal: it’s not about denying the pain, but about embracing the eventual healing.

Wisham’s journey to this moment is as compelling as his music. It all started with a simple TikTok post – a demo of “Pain Won’t Last” that unexpectedly caught the ear of country sensation Bailey Zimmerman. That spark ignited a move to Nashville, leading to Wisham joining Zimmerman on the “RELIGIOUSLY. THE TOUR.” throughout 2024. But his road-worn grit doesn’t stop there. The past year also saw him touring with country artist Josh Ross and honing his craft through countless hours writing on Music Row, the legendary heart of country songwriting.

And the momentum shows no signs of slowing. Wisham’s calendar is jam-packed with exciting ventures. His raw talent recently captivated none other than Tyler Hubbard, who, after a writing session, extended an invitation for Wisham to join him on select dates nationwide this summer. He’ll also be sharing the stage with Chase Matthew in Kansas City, Mo., on June 5th. Beyond the big tours, Wisham continues to refine his live artistry, gracing stages at prestigious events like Whiskey Jam Toronto, The Listening Room, and Raised Rowdy’s Losers showcase.

“Better Than The Day” isn’t just a song; it’s a statement. It’s a testament to Brandon Wisham’s authentic voice, his ability to craft relatable narratives, and his unwavering dedication to his craft. With each release and every stage he steps onto, Wisham is proving that his country-rock roots run deep, and his future in music is undeniably bright. This isn’t just another rising star; it’s an artist carving out a distinctive and impactful presence, one powerful, hopeful anthem at a time.
