Brandon Wisham, a South Carolina native with a rapidly growing reputation in Nashville, has released his highly anticipated debut single, “Back Together.” This poignant track, now available on all streaming platforms, marks Wisham’s official introduction as a solo artist, building on his already impressive songwriting credentials.
“Back Together,” co-written by Wisham alongside Brandon Hood and Gavin Lucas, is a testament to his ability to craft relatable and emotionally resonant narratives. The song captures the complex emotions associated with the ebb and flow of relationships, a theme that resonates universally.
“It’s wild to think that I’m finally dropping my debut single, and I couldn’t do it without all the amazing people on my team that have helped me find my way through the past few years!” Wisham shares. “‘Back Together’ was special from the moment we finished writing the first verse. I’ll never forget the energy in the room – it is what we all chase as songwriters. The title was something that I sat on for a while, I just didn’t know how to go about it. With the help of my friends and co-writers, Brandon Hood and Gavin Lucas, we developed a story that most of us have been through at some point. ‘Back Together’ captures a lot of emotions, which is one of my favorite things about the song.”
Wisham’s journey to this moment has been marked by significant milestones. After posting a demo of “Pain Won’t Last” on TikTok, he quickly caught the attention of Bailey Zimmerman. This led to a move to Nashville and a spot on Zimmerman’s headlining “RELIGIOUSLY. THE TOUR” throughout 2024. Wisham also spent time on the road with country artist Josh Ross, honing his live performance skills and further solidifying his presence in the industry.
His songwriting prowess has also garnered attention on Music Row, where he has collaborated with some of the biggest names in country music. Notably, he co-wrote Zimmerman’s “Pain Won’t Last,” a track that has resonated with audiences and solidified Wisham’s reputation as a gifted songwriter.
Wisham’s talent has also caught the eye of Tyler Hubbard, who invited him to join select tour dates this fall. In addition, Wisham has been showcasing his artistry in Nashville, performing at renowned venues like Whiskey Jam Toronto, The Listening Room, and Raised Rowdy’s Losers showcase.
At just 22 years old, Wisham possesses a raw talent that commands attention. Hailing from Williamston, South Carolina, he grew up surrounded by music, learning to play guitar at a young age and performing cover shows in local bars by the age of 15.
His career took a significant turn when he wrote his first original song, “Pain Won’t Last,” at the age of 19. This heartfelt track, inspired by the loss of his father to Covid, led to a global publishing deal with Warner Chappell Music and The Core Entertainment.
Wisham’s ability to connect with audiences through his soulful vocals and acoustic guitar has been evident in his live performances. Now, with the release of “Back Together,” he is poised to showcase the full force of his musical prowess. Produced by Brandon Hood (Ty Myers, Mackenzie Carpenter), the single is the first in a series of deeply personal songs that blend unfiltered humanity with a fiercely hopeful spirit.
Brandon Wisham’s “Back Together” is a compelling debut that signals the arrival of a powerful new voice in country music. His ability to craft relatable narratives, combined with his undeniable talent, positions him as an artist to watch in the years to come.
