Brandon Hixson has released a new single entitled, My Grandparents Prayed, a song that looks back on a point in his life worth celebrating.  Raised by his grandparents, Hixson praises the spiritual foundation he found through the time they spent together with a genuine sincerity that can be heard in his clean, clear vocal.  The piano /synth intro has the hallmarks of a graceful, country worship arrangement that builds with strings through the verses into the harmonized chorus. “I grew up where the windmills touched the sky, summers smelled like fresh-cut grass and Meemaw’s apple pie,” recalls Hixson’s youth spent, “underneath that Texas heat, running barefoot down the street.”

“I wrote this song to honor my grandparents, Louis and Virginia Hixson, who raised me and my twin sister,” observed Brandon.  My Grandparents Prayed is from his recent album, The Dawn of Mercy, a ten-song collection revealing a gift for storytelling and music production.  Brandon wrote and produced all the tracks on this album showcasing his ability as a multi-talented artist.
