Brandi approaches today’s society, with more than 35% of marriages in the United States are ending in divorce and for every 1,000 unmarried adults in 2019, only 33 got married, in her own way. Explaining that there is no need to wait up on someone and if you want to go and get that dress why not get it for yourself instead (that is what I get at least).
Waitin’ On A Ring is the singer’s third release, that wants to tell people that it is okay to be single, it is okay not to be/get married and you should not let society set standards for your health, happiness, or anything else that makes you sad. Brandi says she won’t wait and she can’t wait for anyone to “like it and put a ring on it”, as she has seen many people that get hitched with someone and then it does not really end well.
Her message for all of us is, I think, to not wait and be happy the way you are because you do not need anyone next to you to fill the void, but rather you should fill it up with happiness and beautiful moments, and if it is meant to be, let it be. A really nice voice, and a song with a nice message to all of us.
