March 12, 2012 (Nashville, TN) — Multi-award winning bluegrass band, BRAND NEW STRINGS announced details of their CD Release Party for their new album STAY TUNED releasing on Nashville’s Rural Rhythm Records later this month. The event will take place Friday, March 23, 2012 at Margaritaville located at 322 Broadway, Nashville, TN 37201 at 8:00 pm on the Second Floor Stage. Admission is $5.00. Rural Rhythm Records recently released the first radio single, “Other Side of Lonesome” via their Fresh Cuts & Key Tracks radio compliation CD and the track is also available at AirplayDirect.com. STAY TUNED is set for release March 27, 2012 and includes the talents of: Randall Massengill (lead & harmony vocals, guitar, metal body guitar); Mike Ramsey (lead & harmomy vocals, mandolin); Stuart Wyrick (banjo); Preston Schmidt (fiddle); Tony Mowell (upright bass); and guest musicians Corey Meuchel (percussion); Brandon Bostic (resonator guitar); and Paul Niehaus (steel guitar).
Brand New Strings has a previous band album on the label titled, NO STRINGS ATTACHED and were also part of two other Rural Rhythm albums THE ALL-STAR JAM – LIVE AT GRAVES MOUNTAIN and the BILL MONROE 100TH YEAR CELEBRATION – LIVE AT BEAN BLOSSOM.
Brand New Strings formed in 2008 and immediately received numerous awards and recognitions including, but not limited to: 2010 International Bluegrass Music Association Showcase Artist; 2010 nomination for Bluegrass Band of the Year by the French Country Music Awards; Winner of the 2009 International Band Championship by the Society for the Preservation of Bluegrass Music of America (SPBGMA); Winner of the 2008 Band Championship by the Smoky Mountain Fiddler’s Convention; and Winner of the 2008 Band Championship by the Cumberland River Bluegrass Festival.
