Braden Hull is looking for One More Cast
By Alan Shipston for Country Music News International Magazine
Braden Hull is a firefighter-turned-country-singer from North Carolina, quickly rising with the support of Melody Place Records and a burgeoning fan base. Dedicated to his late grandfather Ronnie Hull, One More Cast is the relatable track sharing Hull’s grief journey, yearning for more time with his loved ones. The track opens with a languid hook inviting Hull to tell his story of fishing, looking back on fond memories and realizing how fast life flies by. Braden has a smooth, engaging voice that fills up the song with expression and hope as he sings,
If I could have one more cast
I promise that I’d make it last
It don’t matter where it is
As long as we’re pulling bass
Lord, I didn’t know
Time flew by way too fast
And all I’m asking for is just
One more cast
Braden Hull is a rising country artist whose passage from small-town Lexington, North Carolina, to the heart of Music City is as compelling as his music. Before embarking on his music career, Braden spent nine years as a volunteer firefighter and rescue; experiences that deeply shaped his character and inspire many of his songs. At 17, he taught himself guitar and began writing, releasing his first single Falling Out of Love in 2023, earning over one million views on TikTok and generating strong local radio airplay. After signing with Melody Place Records, Braden relocated to Nashville.
This 23 year-old dynamic recording artist has shared the stage with hitmakers Vince Gill, Little Texas, Whey Jennings and Craig Morgan, as well as contemporaries Gavin Adcock and Vincent Mason. In the fall, he toured several colleges throughout the Southeast with Six Pack Coverage, a multimedia sports entertainment company reaching over 12 million social media users every month.
Braden’s debut single under Melody Place, Coulda Been Love, dropped in May 2025, followed by Best Lookin’ Bad Decision, Hot Girl Summer and fan-favorite One Day I Wanna with the latter reaching the Top 50 in MusicRow’s Radio Chart. With a sound rooted in authenticity and a live show that leaves a lasting impression, Braden Hull is quickly becoming one of country music’s most unforgettable new voices.
