Bobby Marquez / Rhonda Vincent Duet Up For Grammy Nomination
The new single from Bobby Marquez’s album, “The Cowboy Way,” is a
duet with the Queen of Bluegrass, Rhonda Vincent. The song is being
awarded today by the CMA of Texas as the duet of the year. Just as
Marquez receives the honors in Houston, Texas, news comes that the song
is now in the first round of nominations for a Grammy Award in two
categories, Country Duo/Group Performance and Country Song.
Bobby Marquez shares, “To get this recognition from music industry
professionals is more than I could have ever asked for in this lifetime.
I am nominated alongside Brad Paisley, Keith Urban, Tim McGraw, Chris
Stapleton and Midland. Those are some big names. And I am so thankful to
Rhonda Vincent for her friendship and an amazing vocal performance.”
“For Awhile” is a beautiful love song written by Marquez and
Memarie Gayle. The track appears on Marquez’s 2018 Grande Star Records
release, “The Cowboy Way.” The song is currently going for adds with
airplay across the country and overseas.
First-round Grammy nomination voting is underway through the end of
October with the final nominations ballot announced in December.
Marquez adds, “I just want to thank everyone in the Recording
Academy who has already voted for this song and I sure hope others will
give it a listen and support our nomination.”
