Bo Porter grew up in a large musical family in Niceville, between Alabama and Florida. At the age of 14 he was already playing bluegrass and singing with his siblings. He traveled through America from Florida to Alaska and also through Europe, always with the guitar within reach.

In this CD he summarizes the facets of his musical life. In track 1 under laid with an accordion, he asks his girl why she wants to go, if he wasn’t good enough. Track 2 begins with a flattering guitar solo, later accordion, and again it’s about saying goodbye and unrequited love.  A nice song that would have got along well with a little less drums. Track 3 is a brisk rockabilly.  Tracks 5 and 7 are good honky tonks. Personally, I like track 4 best, a flattering melody and he’s happy that she wants to live with him in Texas. And track 6 with piano and slide guitar, is sad and wistful when his mother visits him in a dream.

Bo Porter has the right voice for every song here, a recommended record.
