“We are honored that artists of this
caliber will be participating in our Americana Summer Celebration. This
event has become an important fundraiser and highly anticipated
precursor to our ever-growing fall festival in Nashville. We’re curating
our third musical weekend at Blackberry Farm and it just gets better
and better,” shares an enthused Jed Hilly, Executive Director of the
Americana Music Association.

GRAMMY Award winner Rosanne Cash
has built an acclaimed career propelled by a compelling blend of
torch-bearing reinvention and soulful authenticity. With 30 years of
inspired music making, she embraced her roots with the 2010 Americana
Album of the Year, The List, a collection of cover songs culled
from more than 100 classics she was encouraged to explore by her
legendary father, Johnny Cash, when she was 18-years-old. Performing at
An Americana Summer Celebration with her collaborator, producer and
husband, GRAMMY Award winner John Leventhal, the
material they perform together not only offers insight into the artistic
development of Ms. Cash herself, but also her place in America’s great
musical lineage.

As one half of the most successful Pop/Rock duo in history, Hall & Oates, John Oates’ legacy
goes beyond selling 80 million records worldwide. His songs, “She’s
Gone,” “Sara Smile” and “You Make My Dreams” are part of a
life-soundtrack for millions. Oates’ recent foray into Americana music
“is like coming home for me,” he says, “an homage to the musicians I was
brought up on, the ones who got me into music in the first place.”

Oates will perform with renowned GRAMMY winning singer/songwriter and Americana stalwart Jim Lauderdale. Considered
among the elite songwriters and performers today, Lauderdale’s timeless
music has resulted in collaborations with a diverse group of artists
including Elvis Costello, Ralph Stanley and Willie Nelson, among many
others. Lauderdale was the first recipient of the Americana Artist of
the Year award in 2002, and he has hosted the critically acclaimed
Americana Honors & Awards program ever since.
