Nashville has found its newest resilient voice in 17-year-old singer/songwriter Baylee Lynn, who has just released her powerful new single, “Heart On My Sleeve.” Accompanied by a sun-soaked, retro-styled music video, the track arrives as one of the most self-assured statements yet from the fast-rising star, delivering a crucial message of self-worth wrapped in a shimmering, unforgettable country-pop package.

The Artist: Baylee Lynn

Originally hailing from Greeneville, TN, Baylee Lynn is a powerhouse talent with a charming girl-next-door demeanor, proving that lessons in love and resilience aren’t exclusive to older veterans of the music scene. She began singing in church and, following in a long line of family musicians, taught herself guitar at age six and piano shortly after. By 13, she was writing her own material, mining inspiration from country queens like Dolly Parton and Faith Hill while developing a distinctive perspective on modern love.

Baylee’s rapid ascent began in August with her triumphant debut, “Cautiously Optimistic,” an anthem for “the girlies who ignore all the red flags” that immediately topped Billboard’s new music poll, securing a commanding 64 percent of the vote. She followed up in September with the midtempo stunner, “John, Dear.” “Heart On My Sleeve” continues this momentum and, as revealed earlier this week, she will also be featured on the highly anticipated Nobody Wants This Season 2: The Soundtrack, due out October 23rd, alongside artists like Ella Langley and Kacey Musgraves. Baylee is also scheduled for a massive tour starting in early 2026, joining Maddox Batson and Timmy McKeever across North America.

The Song: “Heart On My Sleeve”

“Heart On My Sleeve” is more than just a catchy single; it’s an empowering mantra for young women. Baylee herself explains the song’s intent: “It’s a song to remind young women to remember their worth and to never let a heartbreak define them. It’s a reminder to always keep your head up and keep being you.”

The track masterfully blends country songwriting sensibilities with polished pop production, thanks to the expertise of GRAMMY-nominated producer AJ Pruis (known for his work with Megan Moroney and Maddie & Tae, among others). The song is co-written by Baylee, Jenna Shuffler, Emma Klein, and Dan Pellarin, and is anchored by Baylee’s soul-stirring vocal performance.

The narrative kicks off by setting the stage for a troubled relationship, quickly pivoting from vulnerability to a bold ultimatum: “I ain’t gonna stick around/If you don’t put me in the clouds.” But it’s the soaring chorus that truly captures the song’s essence and resilience, culminating in the instantly iconic line: “Oh, you can rip it to shreds/I’ll just go get some thread/And stitch up the broken heart/On my sleeve.”

In a musical and emotional highlight, Baylee belts out the bridge with a breathtaking blend of tenderness and strength, cementing the song’s central thesis: she holds the power to mend herself and create her own happiness, regardless of external heartbreak.

“Heart On My Sleeve” is a resonant, hook-filled anthem that solidifies Baylee Lynn’s position as one of country music’s most promising new voices.
