Lamitschka: How was the last year for you? What were
Answer: The last year for me has been so much fun
and super busy! First of all, my first ever CD Polaroid Picture came out. I traveled
a lot for performances to Kansas, Missouri, Tennessee, Ohio and Indiana. I got
to perform at the Legendary Blue Bird Café. I’ve opened up for Montgomery
Gentry, John Michael Montgomery, Drake White, Allie Colleen and Emily Hackett.
I made my first music video to my first single Polaroid Picture and that
actually came out on my birthday, November 16, 2018. The music video was so
much fun to shoot and it makes it even more special to me because I got to have
my Grandma in it. I‘m looking forward to the next year coming up!
Lamitschka: Do you write the songs yourself? If not,
how do you go about finding the songs for your CD?
Answer: Yes! I write my own songs. It happens differently
everytime. Sometimes I will just write the lyrics or I will write the lyrics
and the music. Then I go into my writing sessions with my co-writers and we add
the finishing touches to it.
Lamitschka: What kind of songs do you like to record
Answer: I like to record ballets because I like the
control and tone of my vocals when I’m performing them. Ballets pull on my
Lamitschka: What is your favorite song among all the
songs you have recorded and what’s the story behind it?
Answer: My favorite and most personal song I’ve recorded
is Exit Sign. I was in a relationship that was mentally, physical, spiritually,
and emotionally abusive. Being with this guy was like seeing an exit sign, but
you couldn’t find the way out. Finally one day I woke up and told myself I am
strong enough to leave him and that’s when I walked through the exit sign.
Lamitschka: Do you have any interesting stories
about how fans have been affected by your music?
Answer: Yes I have two stories! Someone tagged me in
a post on facebook of a bride walking down the aisle to her groom and the song
they used was my song Polaroid Picture. The couple had a blanket made with
pictures from the wedding that included the lyrics to the song…“They don’t make
them like you anymore“. My next story is about my 2nd grade teacher who just
recently passed away. Her husband asked me to sing at her funeral. He was telling
me before the service how much his wife loved my music. He then told me she was
being buried holding a copy of my CD.
Lamitschka: As an artist, you so many tasks such as
recording, touring, interviews. What do you like best, what’s your favorite
Answer: They all are so much fun, but I think my favorite
is recording. I love creating and putting my emotions into each song. I could
seriously live in a studio.
Lamitschka: When you get time off, how do you like
Answer: When I‘m relaxing I like to read my Bible, watch
Netflix, shop at the mall and exercise. When I’m not busy I really am a home
Lamitschka: What hopes and desires do you have?
Answer: I hope to win a Grammy by the age of 28. I dream
about going on a world tour and selling out the arenas. I hope to someday team up
with the organzation Rachel’s Challenge and help create positive atmospheres in
schools across the nation. I want to show God’s love to people through my
actions. Oh! And I wouldn’t mind having a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
Lamitschka: Is there any place you haven’t played
that you would like to?
Answer: Someday I hope to perform at the Grand Ole
Lamitschka: Many music fans today get their
