Acclaimed artist Ana Cristina Cash has teamed up with legendary producer Emilio Estefan Jr. to deliver a dose of holiday cheer in their vibrant new single, “One More Year” (and its Spanish counterpart, “Un Año Más”), set for release this Friday, December 12th. This collaboration is a genuine holiday treat, blending classic warmth with a fresh, contemporary spirit that perfectly captures the hope and unity of the season.

A Fusion of Heritage and Holiday Spirit

Infused with nostalgia, infectious warmth, and timeless Latin-influenced arrangements, “One More Year” is a testament to the combined strengths of its creators. The track, which was written and produced by Estefan Jr. himself, is a dazzling moment for Cash, showcasing her soaring vocals. Estefan Jr.’s signature artistic touch ensures the song feels simultaneously classic and modern, giving it an appeal that transcends musical boundaries.

The track’s joyous message immediately resonated with Cash. She first met her “dear friend Emilio” as a teenager when she was signed to Sony Music Latin. After he played her the beautiful, uptempo song at Crescent Moon Studios in June, she immediately knew she wanted to record it. “I love its joyful message, and I can’t help but dance whenever I hear it!” she shares.

The song is a brilliant showcase of Cash’s unique musical identity, which continues to blend her Cuban-American heritage with her Nashville-rooted musical style. This allows her to fluidly bridge the worlds of Latin, country, and soul music, offering a sound that is authentically her own.

Visuals Wrapped in Holiday Magic

The single is accompanied by a delightful music video, available in both English and Spanish. Directed by Estefan Jr. and Manuel Perez Matos, the visual was filmed at Christmas Wonderland Park in Cash’s hometown of Miami.

“Shooting the music videos for ‘One More Year’ was an incredible experience,” Cash notes. “We got to work with the amazing sets at the park, which truly brought so much holiday magic to the production.” The colorful, festive setting perfectly matches the song’s uplifting vibe, making the visual a must-watch complement to the track.

The Artists Behind the Collaboration

Ana Cristina Cash: Bridging Cultures and Genres

Raised in Miami, Florida, Ana Cristina Cash is a bilingual artist of Cuban descent who started her professional career at the tender age of six. She signed to Sony Music Latin at age 15, recording her debut album, Ana Cristina, entirely in Spanish. Her career highlights are impressive, including becoming the first Hispanic American to perform the “Star-Spangled Banner” at a presidential inauguration (for President Bush in 2005). She has also graced the stages of esteemed venues like the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum, the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, and Madison Square Garden.

For the past decade, she has been living and recording in Nashville, primarily at the historical Cash Cabin studio, following her marriage to John Carter Cash in 2016. It is here that she has honed her deeply soulful sound, which beautifully intertwines her country connection with her rich Latin influences. Having recently signed a global publishing deal with BMG Rights Management, Cash is set for a big year, with plans to release a new project in early 2026.

Emilio Estefan Jr.: A Legacy of Influence

Emilio Estefan Jr. is a figure whose influence on contemporary music is undeniable. As a Grammy- and Emmy-winning music, television, and film producer, he has been instrumental in shaping the careers of global superstars, including his wife, Gloria Estefan, as well as Shakira, Ricky Martin, Jennifer Lopez, Marc Anthony, and Jon Secada.

With over 40 years of industry achievements, Estefan Jr.’s accolades include the Presidential Medal of Freedom, a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, and induction into the Latin Songwriters Hall of Fame. His Midas touch also extends to Broadway, where he served as executive producer for the Tony-nominated musical On Your Feet!

“One More Year” is more than just a holiday single; it’s a celebration of heritage, hope, and the incredible synergy between two powerhouse artists. With its irresistible rhythm and heartfelt message, this track is sure to find a permanent place on every holiday playlist this season.
