February 15, 2012, Nashville, TN.  The Americana Music Association is proud to announce the lineup for its annual SXSW showcase, scheduled for Thursday March 15, 2012 at the historic Antone’s club in Austin, TX.   The event will feature performances by the Little Willies, featuring Lee Alexander, Jim Campilongo, Norah Jones, Richard Julian and Dan Reiser, Punch Brothers, Jonny Corndawg, the Gourds, HoneyHoney and Chuck Mead and His Grassy Knoll Boys. 
 
Since its inception, the SESAC sponsored Americana Showcase at Antone’s during SXSW has become both a tradition at the Austin music confab and one of the festivals premier and critically acclaimed events.  Featured performances in the past have included legendary acts like Emmylou Harris, the original Texas Tornados, Dave Alvin, Jimmy Vaughan, Jim Lauderdale with Patty Griffin, Raul Malo, Buddy Miller, James McMurtry, Joe Ely, Hank Williams III, Marcia Ball, The Courtyard Hounds with Jakob Dylan and Ray Wylie Hubbard.  A robust list of emerging artists have also been featured like Hayes Carl, Grace Potter & the Nocturnals, Abigail Washburn, Tift Merritt, Ryan Bingham, Elizabeth Cook the Band of Heathens and many more, who have supported the scrappy not for profit music association.
