CMNI: Welcome to this virtual interview; can you please take us through some of your 2025 activities?

AmberLynn; Thank you, happy to be here! 2025 has been a year of building…everything from writing and composing a new album, to recording and working with our whole team and band to prepare for the 2026 Honkytonk Fever tour in Texas, the title track to our new album.

CMNI: How had the previous year been for you and your band?

AmberLynn: Wonderful. We’ve toured Texas in 2025 and it went very well with lots of inspiration to write the new album.

CMNI: You have plans to expand the band. Tell us something about it?

AmberLynn: The band ‘AmberLynn Browning and her Texas highwaymen’ has fully expanded to a traditional honkytonk sound with our pedal steel guitarist, mentored by Robby Turner who was Waylon Jennings Steel player after Ralph Mooney passed; and two fiddlers Buster T. Brown–who toured with Michael Martin Murphey–, and David Varnado, who was Loretta Lynn’s and Chris Ledoux’s fiddler for years. Tyler King is our awesome drummer, and I am the lead guitarist, vocals and pianist. Jerry Bridges of the Waylors is at the helm of production–he was Waylon Jennings bass player and producer.

CMNI: How many new singles have you released? Tell us something about the songs.

AmberLynn: We’ve released two (2) singles off the record so far- “Murder on music row” featuring my duet partner Jeb Bridges; and Jess Meador on fiddle-a world and state champion fiddler (who is recording with Jake Worthington now) the song, a tribute to George Strait and Alan Jackson’s hit in 1999- which was written by Legendary songwriter Larry Cordle-who has commended this song and sent a special video thanking us, a great honor for us.

And I recorded a duet with Georgette Jones, daughter of George Jones and Tammy Wynette; we sang “Texas when I die”– an old Ed Bruce favorite, released in September 2025. This is the second collaboration we’ve done–the first being her father’s song “White Lightnin”-Here’s the  song! https://ffm.to/texas-sonymusic

CMNI: You hinted about ‘an incredible album that we’ve put all our hearts into’, tell us something about this album?

AmberLynn: Yes! This is Honkytonk Fever; the forthcoming album which we will tour this October in Texas- all Texas country music with new original songs from traditional to western swing; and a couple surprise guest stars. The original songs on the record have gotten nominations, so far, before release-“What makes a cowboy” being nominated for Songwriter achievement of the year with the Josie music awards out of over 10,000 songs.

CMNI: You have also announced the “Honkytonk Fever album tour” in 2026. What should fans expect about this anticipated tour?

AmberLynn: You can expect a lot of energy and brand new music with an unforgettable sound and showcase! We love our audiences and fans, and love to make them dance! Expect the best and nothing less!

CMNI: Do you have other new projects that you are embarking on in 2026?

AmberLynn: We’re wrapping up the album and preparing for tour- and have developed some exciting new songs and collaborations to come. We will keep everyone posted!

CMNI: Are you planning to do any collaboration?

AmberLynn: This is a great question. There will be some future surprise collaborations!

CMNI: Do you have any plans to do a tour outside of  US, especially to Africa?

AmberLynn: Unfortunately, not at this time; we primarily tour the US, and mainly Texas.

CMNI: What message do you have for your fans?

AmberLynn: We love you, and thank you for the continued support and love! This is going to be a year to remember!

CMNI: What are some of the challenges you are currently facing in your career?

AmberLynn: I don’t worry about challenges–they are all here to help build everything. My family and music family are very much part of everything I do, and God helps me face every challenge- I like to say, I turn stumbling blocks into stepping stones!

CMNI: If you are to ask for help, as far as the music industry is concerned, what would it be?

AmberLynn: I wouldn’t ask. I would give the help because there are so many artists out there who need help with getting out there. Working with Sony has enabled me to help bring a new chapter to the music industry, creating new inroads where there wasn’t any.

I love to help others- where it’s needed. There’s a lot of room up on stage, so the industry needs to grow to reach the needs of artists. From the venues to the digital distribution, to the platforms everything needs work, and it’s all about good communication and building for the future.

CMNI: What is your message to the fans and well-wishers?

AmberLynn: We’re building upon what the old dinosaurs of country music already started, and promise to keep it alive. We appreciate your support more than you know and are grateful for you! This will be the 3rd Studio album which was commended by Jessi Colter (Waylon Jennings wife), and we can’t wait to continue performing and bringing the love and true grit of Country music to you.

CMNI: Do you have anything to add on what has been said?

AmberLynn: AmberLynn Browning and her Texas Highwaymen bring a fire and experience at shows that simply can’t be outworked-with True grit; and performances that leave the crowd with a smile, singing along and dancing all night. Original Texas country and western swing music-with classics thrown in-audiences love how AmberLynns Band brings them to the heart of traditional Texas music from the heart of the Texas Queen herself.

AmberLynn Browning is a 6th Generation Texan with multiple awards and nominations from the Josie music awards to the Grammys. With current singles reaching #4 on CountryRadio and on 28 charts.
