Allie Colleen “Tattoos”
Cutting-edge country music artist Allie Colleen announced the release of her most recent single, “Tattoos.” The song is as fearless, captivating and authentic as the singer/songwriter herself.
Allie Colleen has always thought body art is so attractive. Women have tons of songs written about them like meat (in the best way), and she thought it was the guys’ turn to be appreciated, specialized and cat-called (in the best way). “Tattoos” is how Allie and her co-writers Sara Brice, DeLeah Shane and Will Garrett accomplished this writing the visual lyrics.
Allie Colleen asked, “Have you ever seen someone just covered in tattoos and thought, ‘I wonder what tattoos I can’t see?”
“The day we wrote tattoos, Allie came in knowing what she wanted to say and how she wanted to say it. It was really cool getting to see a different side of her. The meaning behind the song is flirty and fun and invites the listener to paint their own visual,” shared co-writer Sara Brice.
“…C’mon baby concentrate
People gonna talk let’ ‘em watch give ‘em something to say
Go on put me in my place
Show me you can hold it down,
Don’t let me push you around
Please don’t make me wait
I’m not tryin’ to fall in love
Give a fuck about us
In the wrong way
Ain’t try’n a complicate
A simple feeling
Pull the trigger
Put your hands on my body
Just a little taste
My heart ain’t gonna break
Chalk it up to bein’ naughty
I wanna be all over you
Like those tattoos…”
Tattoos was produced by ProdByDom and mixed by Cody Labelle and Dom and mastered by Valfred Mendoza. Studio musicians on the project included Aden Gray (Guitar) and Mat Maxwell (Bass).
