Scott Southworth Earns Multiple AWA Award Nominations

The Academy of Western Artists has announced the first round of
nominations for their 2019 Will Rogers Awards. And singer/songwriter
Scott Southworth has received four nominations in the AWA Pure Country
categories.

Southworth is currently nominated for Pure Country Male, Pure
Country Album (“Hey Hillbilly Singer”) and twice for Pure Country Song
(“I Ain’t Leaving Town” and “The Honky Tonk In Me”).

AWA affiliated disc jockeys around the world will vote on the final
nominees with winners announced March 14, 2019 in the Brown Lupton
Ballroom in Fort Worth, TX on the campus of Texas Christian University.
The event is open to the public.

Since the release of his album, “Hey Hillbilly Singer, ” Scott
Southworth has been all of the buzz amongst traditional country music
fans and music industry professionals alike.

For example, The “Best of 2018” lists have begun trickling out and
“Hey Hillbilly Singer!” was named #4 on the “Outlaw Porch” Top 20
Country Albums of 2018 list from U.K. Country Music Blogger Steve
Tidbury.

Southworth was also honored by his alma mater with an induction
into the Springfield High School Hall of Fame in Oregon this fall.

It has been a productive season so far with Southworth who has been
writing new songs and returned to the recording studio this week.

In addition, “Keep It Country TV” in the U.K. has added the video
“Nobody Leaves This World Alive” to several shows. And 2 weeks ago,
Scott was interviewed by Phil Mack himself in a segment that will air on
an upcoming episode of The Phil Mack International Country Show.

US. Southworth, most recently, performed at France’s largest country
music festivals and headlined Norway’s Trandal Country Music Fest.

Scott
has written and co-written more than 60 Indy cuts. Country Music People
Magazine named him their September 2016 “Honky Tonker Of The Month” and
his songs “Whiskey Bottle” and “Whiskey In Heaven” were tied for the #1
spot on the UK’s “Kicking Cuts Chart.”
