Lamitschka:  What is your latest CD and how’s it doing?

Answer:  My latest CD is called “My Mother’s Daughter.” It is four songs that relate to times in my life where I have grown as a person or learned from a situation. One song in particular is based on the title of the EP and that is “Growing Old.” It is a song that talks about my emotions on how I feel after my mom’s passing 11 months ago. I think my EP is doing well 🙂 I have had a lot of people say how much they relate and enjoy listening to my new music. That always makes me happy.

Lamitschka:  How did you choose the title for the CD?  Is there a story behind the name?

Answer:  The title of this EP is in honor and memory of my mother who passed away 11 months ago. I wrote a song based on my feelings about life without her and the title “My Mother’s Daughter” is related to the song “Growing Old” on my EP.

Lamitschka:  Do you write the songs yourself? If not, how do you go about finding the songs for your CD?

Answer:  I do write the songs myself! Writing is a way for me to get my emotions out and has become a safe haven for me this past year. Two of the songs on my EP were co-written with my best friend Jessilynn Kidd.

Lamitschka:  Please tell us about the songs on your album (influences, etc).

Lamitschka:  What is your favorite song among all the songs you have recorded and what’s the story behind it?

Answer:  My favorite song I have recorded is “Growing Old” because it is the song that relates to what I am going through right now. Losing my mom has been tough but recording this song has helped me heal.

Lamitschka:  What inspired you to become an artist?

Answer:  I love the energy of performing live. It’s the greatest feeling when a whole room goes quiet listening to a sad song I wrote or when the crowd is singing the lyrics to one of my originals. I also feel like being an artist gives me a voice to positively impact others around me through my music and actions.

Lamitschka:  What inspired you to become a songwriter?

Answer:  I realized I wanted to become a songwriter when I noticed how I was able to explain my emotions better through a song rather than talking about it. Plus, I loved the feeling of singing something I wrote to a crowd and seeing their reactions of them relating to the words I have written.

Lamitschka:  What drives you?

Answer:  Ever since I found my passion for music I was dedicated to learning more, improving, and growing as a person. The first time I sang an original song to my family was one I will never forget. I realized I was able to connect with people by writing and singing how I feel. I became driven to connect to people through music by performing live, writing a song, and singing. This past year what drives me the most is making my parents proud and using music as a safe haven for me to release my emotions and heal by writing songs and singing.

Lamitschka:  When you get time off, how do you like to relax?

Answer:  NETFLIX! On my time off I enjoy binge watching netflix while laying in bed or on the couch. I also enjoy spending time with family on my days off.

Lamitschka:  Is there any place you haven’t played that you would like to?

Answer:  I would love to one day play at the Grand Ol’ Opry! It’s a dream of mine.

Lamitschka:  What message would you like to send your European fans?

Answer:  I would want to tell them that I appreciate every single one of you! Thank you for supporting and listening to my music 🙂
