Dixie Jade Interview by Christian Lamitschka for Country Music News International Magazine & Radio Show

With their own unique brand of country music, Dixie Jade blends their love for classic country and vintage soul with in-your-face pop radio production. A duo in every way, these women marry the strength of powerful vocals and bold guitar riffs with the sincerity of a reflective heart.

Andrea (lead vocals/piano) and Dominique (vocals/lead guitar) both left California to pursue their dreams of performing country music in Music City. Since moving to Nashville, these women have forged a creative partnership that sets them apart; they’re certainly making their mark on the country music scene. Their cover of “Drift Away” with Karen Waldrup also went viral on Facebook to gain over 6 million views. Brad Paisley also took note of Dominique’s YouTube cover of his guitar instrumental “The Nervous Breakdown” and gave her a personal shout-out on his Facebook page.

Fierce and radiant – Dixie Jade have written hundreds of songs that exemplify their values and fun-loving personality as a duo. They have worked with some of the best up-and-coming songwriters in Nashville to write songs like “Stubborn Woman” and “Grit and Amazing Grace.” They cohesively blend fun melodies and stellar musicality with meaningful lyrics to create their own unique songwriting style.

Dixie Jade’s live performances are energetic and engaging, displaying powerhouse vocals, tight harmonies, and smoldering guitar riffs. They have opened for Jason Aldean, LoCash, Thompson Square, Walker Hayes, and The Cadiallac Three, in addition to performing festivals like CMA Fest, Pepsi Gulf Coast Jam, and Key West Songwriters Festival. They’ve also played countless shows in Nashville, including the legendary Bluebird Café, Whiskey Jam, BMI New Faces Night, and 8 Off 8th.

In July of 2019, they released their single, “Stubborn Woman” and a country line dance to accompany it. The song offers a fun take on the idea that “there ain’t nothing like loving a stubborn woman.” Empowering, upbeat, and honest, “Stubborn Woman” gives a voice to a new generation of women, while the Stubborn Woman Line Dance will surely get you up on your feet dancing. The ladies of Dixie Jade are powerful and ready to be heard!
