In full disclosure, I am a huge Dustin Lynch fan.  In fact, I am one of the “naked boaters” in his Tequila On a Boat video. That being said, this guy really has a unique style that’s always accessible, honest and fun.

The song selection on this album is exceptional. Dustin’s style is placed right up front and, in my humble opinion, every song allows the listener to get to know him better. It’s classic character development!

I mean, how can you not bob your head and sway your hips to the opening track Party Mode. In fact, I DARE you to sit still when the track gets rolling.

And then he moves in to Thinking Bout You featuring the wonderful MacKenzie Porter (don’t get me started about how great SHE is!). This sweet reminiscent track rolls really works particularly because of the chemistry between the singers.

Something That Makes You Smile offers a truism that I only hope you will take away- “You’re only here for a little while so do somethin that makes you smile.” Boom!

And then there’s Summer Never Ended.  This will be my theme song for the time being. The visuals from the lyric “I’d be all right if summer never ended” will be burned into my memory from now on.  Thank you for this one, Dustin.

To me music is supposed to move you to action, to tears, to dance or simply just take you away from your daily BS for awhile.  This record succeeds!
