Tecia
McKenna is a very capable singer/songwriter who crosses genres nicely in this
debut effort on Megalith Nashville Records.

Writing
or co-writing all ten tracks, McKenna is certainly capable of putting pen to
paper.

Receiving
significant airplay and garnering a number of award nominations this past year
is a sure sign that Tecia McKenna will have a bright future ahead of her.

The album
has a folky, country, bluegrass feel to it which is to say it lacks a little
direction in its presentation. Each song stands on its own but it feels more
like a collection of songs than an album.

The songs
I think are the strongest and most commercial on this disc are Goodbye’s What
You’ve Got and I Should Have Waited for You, while Sweet Perfume and The Horses
Knew the Way are very well written and worthy of the listener’s consideration.

I believe
this is a good album for aspiring songwriter’s and artists looking for material
to pick up. And if you are a fan of the singer/songwriter genre you will love
this album.

I think
what help Tecia McKenna most is the fact that the industry now is geared more
towards single releases. With her ability to easily change genres and write
high quality songs in many styles Tecia McKenna will become a favorite of both
artists looking for material and fans alike
