CD Review: Charles Esten – “A Road and a Radio” by Preshias Harris for Country Music News International Magazine & Radio Show

Charles Esten – “A Road and a
Radio” by Preshias Harris for Country Music News International Magazine & Radio Show

After finding international fame in the
role of Deacon Clayborn in the hit TV show Nashville, Charles
Esten has transitioned from actor to a career as a successful singer
and songwriter. Between July 2016 and July 2017, he set a world
record by releasing a new song (all of which he wrote or co-wrote)
every week for 52 weeks as part of his #EverySingleFriday project.
His new single, “A Road and a Radio” is an uptempo country rocker
that does exactly what the title says. This is a song that will
appeal to fans of artists like Keith Urban and Blake Shelton or early
hits from the Eagles.

Esten has a strong fan base in Europe
and spent October playing major venues in England, Scotland and
Ireland as part of the Country Music Week Tour. Before setting off on
the tour, Esten debuted “A Road and a Radio” during a performance
at the Grand Ole Opry in Nashville. More info at
