back in ’74

was
called BLACK & BLUE SUITE..this title is just an extension of that..

over your music?

Answer:  As much as possible..

Lamitschka:  There’s a lot of work that goes into a
number one hit. What did it take to make it in your case?

Answer:  I’ve had a few number one hits..but I’d say that ‘Rhinestone Cowboy’ had
the most impact initially..it was a very personal song..

Lamitschka:  Do you have any interesting stories
about how fans have been affected by your music?

Answer:  A funny one regarding ‘RC’..was flying to L.A. from NY..sitting next to
a serious man dressed in very drab clothes..thought he worked for the
gov’t..ugly sport jacket, tie shirt..boots, all topped off by motorcycle
glasses..not a word passed between us for over an hour..we finally began to
talk..sure enough he was a test pilot for the Navy..when he learned about ‘RC’
from m, his whole demeanor changed into a short laugh..it seems his sister had
a permanent chemical imbalance and liked to go off of her meds..one of her most
colorful events doing this, was running through a cornfield in Iowa, flinging
off her clothes, while singing my song!!!

Lamitschka:  Who inspires you musically and how deep
do your musical roots run?

Answer:  I consider song writing a gift from above..

Lamitschka:  What do you think about today’s music
scene versus its post and where do you see it going in the future?

Answer:  I may sound smug..but I don’t listen to a lot of today’s music..it does
feel temporary and impatient..I wonder if it will have any lasting ability..

Lamitschka:  What do you think about today’s music
industry?

Answer: The songwriter is screwed..ever since downloading the industry has not
recoveredable to

Establish
a new game plan..

something about the music industry, what would it be?

Answer:  An overhaul of the royalty system..

recording, touring, interviews. What do you like best, what’s your favorite
