I picked this album just because I
oved the title. That really s no way anyone should buy a book, an album, or
even a girlfriend. But, sometimes that’s just the way it goes. It’s kind of
like choosing something to eat when the menu is in a different language and you
can’t understand it so you put your finger on something. Next thing you know,
you are being served cow tongue and monkey brains. Not that I have ever had the
latter, nut the former I have been duped into.

The opening song, It’s a Great
Day
, it has fairly simple lyrics, but they are a great way to open up and
listen to first thing this morning. Greg Hudik definitely has a solid voice.
The vocals are not too country yet still have that southern drawl. The lead
guitar has some great riffs, the drumbeat is fairly simple, as is the rhythm
guitar. It is a simple song with simple lyrics, but it all comes together
nicely to set the tone to begin your day. Not too much, and not too little it
comes out just right like the goldilocks story.

Let’s Go Somewhere, picks it up. Greg Hudik comes out
strong in his vocals, the drumbeat hits a nice steady beat, I believe there is
a keyboard that drives the harmony. The notes and chords really drive the
melody. There is a nice bridge. It’s a solid song. Once again, the lyrics seem
simple yet fit. This song reminds me of a ’50s garage rock band like Bryan
Adams.

She Likes Kissing Girls, just the song I’ve been waiting
for. The bass in this song is pretty hard and deep. It really drives the tone
and melody. It is a good story, lyrically a lot different. The lead guitar also
has some nice solos. The chord progression is strong and the bridge to the
chorus is a nice downbeat.

Another song I have been waiting for
is Everybody Wants to Jam Like Jimi. Nice Lead Guitar opening. This song
has some great solos. It also has a great group of background singers. The
lyrics include not only titles of Hendrix songs but also some lyrics, really
focusing on his better-known tracks. I’m surprised I didn’t hear anything about
“castles in the sand.”

Jesus Got His Headphones On,starts off with a nice blues riff.
This song is pure blues. And the difference I notice right away is this song is
lyrically well done. The raspy chorus is a powerhouse. This song has better
solos than I have heard on the entire album. Altogether, this is by far the
best song on this album. I am really surprised the album title was not named
after this.

There is no doubt that Greg Hudik is
a master talent. The album doesn’t disappoint it was incredibly produced. From
start to finish it was a great way for me to start my day, and I don’t really
think there is much else I can say about it. I would recommend this as a
definite buy for anyone’s collection.
