Lamitschka:  How did you choose the title for the CD?  Is there a story behind the name?

Answer:  Horizon
is what a sailor sees when he looks out at the sea or what a cowboy
sees when he looks out at the land. Horizon is the line where the Earth
meets the sky when you look out. And this record is that. It’s what I
see when I look out in front of me. It’s where I see this project. This
music. It’s where I see myself. At that point of looking forward.

Lamitschka:  Who inspires you musically and how deep do your musical roots run?

Answer: I’m just a huge fan of music. Growing up in Oklahoma, we heard great country music on the radio with Vince Gill, Garth Brooks, Reba, Brooks and Dunn, George Strait, Tim McGraw. I’ve always loved great vocalists as well… people like Freddie Mercury, Roy Orbison, Otis Redding, Steve Perry, Frank Sinatra, Elvis, Steven Tyler and Bob Seger. My influences are always changing and I guess the beauty of music is that you can always go back and listen to your favorites or find something new that you’ve never heard. There is a time and place for all of it.

Lamitschka:  Do you have any interesting stories about how fans have been affected by your music? 

Answer:
My fans are the greatest on the planet! Country music fans are amazing!
I absolutely love being on the road and meeting and making fans! I
write and record and perform these songs and I do it for the fans.
Without their amazing support, I wouldn’t have a career so they affect
my music and myself greatly!

Lamitschka: Were your friends and family supportive or was it a struggle? 

Answer:
My friends and family have been the biggest supporters of my music
career. They have been such champions in all of this! The show me so
much grace and patience and love and have been such an inspiration to
keep pushing forward and chasing my dream.

Lamitschka:  When you get time off, how do you like to relax?

Answer:
Spending time with my wife. We love to cook and entertain so usually
cooking and drinking wine with friends or family. You can usually find
me either in the gym, the golf course, riding horses or hunting and
fishing if I’m not doing anything music related.

Lamitschka:  When you’re on tour, do you have time to play tourist?

Answer:
Yes! I love checking out local restaurants and coffee shops. My band
and I usually get on Yelp as soon as we’re in a city and check out the
best local spots to go!

Lamitschka:  Many music fans today get their information about artists online. Do you have your own website and what will fans find there?

Answer: I do! www.JustinAdamsCountry.com and
I’m also on Instagram and Facebook and Twitter all at
@JustinAdamsCountry. I love staying in touch with my fans so say hi on
there!

Lamitschka:  What’s the best compliment a fan has ever given you?

Answer:
I love when fans are appreciative that I sing and write country music.
Country music is so true to my heart and soul and I love when fans can
see and hear that!

Lamitschka:
As an artist, you so many tasks such as recording, touring, interviews.
What do you like best, what’s your favorite activity?

Answer:
I honestly love every single aspect of what I do. I do my best to enjoy
every situation I’m in and make the best of it whether I’m recording or
writing or playing a show. I’m so thankful that I get to do this for a
living.

Lamitschka:  Is there anything in your life that you would change if you could?

Answer: Not a single thing!
