Faster and Further is Darin and Brooke
Aldridge’s fifth album.  The husband and
wife duo continues to bring inspiration putting their own style on music.  “Kingdom Come” maintains a high level of
boldness in the middle of a crisis and seeking refuge to the Solid Rock of Ages.  The song strongly reminds me about the early
American Indians way of training boys to be bold and brave.  Training includes fishing, hunting and scouting.  Final test is to bring the boy in the forest
blindfolded on the night of his 13th birthday.  He’s allowed to see where he’s at when he’s
in the middle of the forest.  I can just
imagine the wild animals ready to pounce.
It’s daunting to be in the unknown place full of wild animals.  When the sun rises the next day, the boy
looks around him and sees flowers, trees, green grass and a path.  Further ahead is a man holding a bow and
arrow, his father who is with him the whole night through.  It’s the same thing with this song, it
inspires us to seek God when trouble comes for He is our refuge and our strength,
our High Fortress.
“Fit for a King” is firmly established in
God’s powerful life giving grace, being united in faith and our mission in life.  Living with humility, gentleness, patience,
love and having the desire to reach out from east to west and north to south in
spreading the truth.  This is reality
check for those who journey with Him.
It’s not always easy, major challenges can sometimes obstruct or delay
activities, but “This River” brings the beautiful promise that God blesses all
who seek Him and believe in Him with rivers of the living water of His
Spirit.  With it comes success and the
fullness of joy in Him that flows from us to others.
Hillsong Australia just like Darin and
Brooke Aldridge are roaring the same thing, “Worthy is the Lamb and “Sacred
Lamb”.  Both would make a nice anthem for
Easter.  Agnus Dei is the Latin of Lamb
of God and is indeed worthy because of His Sovereignty.
The album flexes creative muscles with
instrumentation and vocals.  Darin and
Brooke Aldridge’s lyrics are so powerful, they go straight to your heart and
leave a mark on your life.  Applying
those in life can impact people’s lives.
