The Leroy Van Dyke Country Gold Tour

Tradition Continues from 50s and 60s With Package Shows Now Featuring Classic Country’s Biggest Acts

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (January 18, 2017)
– As the New Year begins, “The Leroy Van Dyke Country Gold Tour” will
kick off next month, captivating audiences and showing that country
tradition is alive and well. The one-of-a-kind show continues a trend
developed in the 50s and 60s where artists would travel with a “caravan
of stars” city-to-city, all accompanied by Van Dyke’s one band, to
prevent change-over, giving fans more music. After more than 60 years,
the concept is more popular than ever, with the must-see tour making
stops at several high profile events including both the Florida and Iowa
State Fairs, along with top festivals like the 40th Annual Hodag
Country Festival in Wisconsin (see complete list below).

“Love working with the Country Gold Tour featuring Leroy Van Dyke and
his friends, great crowds EVERY time,” said CEO Dave Snowden of
Triangle Talent. “So professional from start to finish – a home run
every time.”

This classic country format has joined some of the genre’s favorite
legends for a show that will remind traditional country music fans of
the music they fell in love with, having all acts with million-sellers,
multiple Top Ten records or massive television exposure. The Leroy Van
Dyke hosted show has announced dates for upcoming appearances later this
year featuring performances (with more to be added) by Van Dyke, Jimmy
Fortune, Rex Allen, Jr., T.G. Sheppard, Steve & Rudy Gatlin, Bobby
Bare, Johnny Lee, T. Graham Brown, Marty Haggard, Leona Williams,
Barbara Fairchild, David Frizzell, Moe Bandy, Mandy Barnett and more
(lineup changes venue to venue).

“We’re proud to bring these performances to our fans. We sign
autographs after the show, and our attendees come down front after the
curtain falls, with tears in their eyes like an altar call at a Billy
Graham Crusade,” said Leroy Van Dyke.

This year marks the 55th anniversary of host Leroy Van Dyke’s
monumental chart-topping hit, “Walk on By,” which propelled him to
superstardom. The worldwide smash would go on to hit No. 1 on the
country charts, along with recently being named Billboard’s No. 2 Greatest of All Time Country Songs.
Concertgoers are in for a treat as the 87-year-old singer/songwriter
performs all of his biggest hits, also including the breakout smash,
“The Auctioneer,” which led to an induction into the National
Auctioneers Association Hall of Fame.
