Brad Paisley Unveils New Exhibit at Country
Music Hall of Fame

Brad Paisley found it “humbling” indeed to
have his own exhibit at the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum in Nashville,
“Brad Paisley: Diary of a Player.” The much-awarded singer/songwriter helped
preview the new exhibit at an invitation-only event at the Hall of Fame,
Thursday night, Nov. 17.
“Diary of a Player” contains fascinating
mementos and artifacts from Brad’s childhood in West Virginia, along with an
abundance of guitars (naturally) and his many industry awards. One of the
prized items is the first guitar he ever owned, a Sears Silvertone model given
to him by his grandfather Warren Jarvis. Those who tour the exhibit will also
see photos of Brad with some of his country music heroes, such as Little Jimmy
Dickens and Bill Anderson.

After getting his own glimpse at the
exhibit with his wife, actress Kimberly Williams-Paisley, and their two sons,
Brad spoke to the attendees about being honored with an exhibit. “It’s really
weird to see things that should have meant nothing to anyone actually seem
important,” he said. “It’s crazy when you see these things and you look back
and I remember the dreams that were associated with each little item.”
Brad also made sure to acknowledge the
legendary artists who accepted his requests to join him on records, even when
he was still a relative newcomer. “I have been very lucky to collaborate with
my heroes,” Brad noted, mentioning such artists as Buck Owens and Little Jimmy
Dickens and Vince Gill. “I didn’t just get to meet these guys. I got to create
with them over the years.” He later added, “The idea that I get to be in the
same walls as these legends is so humbling.”
“Brad Paisley: Diary of a Player” will run
through May 14, 2017, at the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum in downtown
Nashville. You may find out more by visiting countrymusichalloffame.org.
