OLD DOMINION PACKS PLAYSTATION THEATER ON MEAT AND CANDY HEADLINING TOUR

BREAKTHROUGH BAND OLD DOMINION PACKS PLAYSTATION THEATER ON MEAT AND CANDY HEADLINING TOUR
In
one year’s time, five-piece band goes from selling out Joe’s Pub to
PlayStation Theater as single “Song For Another Time” crests Top 10
NEW YORK CITY, N.Y. – Less than a year since their last headlining show in New York at Joe’s Pub (capacity 250), Old Dominion
returned to a sold-out crowd of more than 2,000 fans at PlayStation
Theater in Manhattan on Saturday, Oct. 22. The road-built band
Miranda Lambert
has tapped to join her on tour early next year, is currently
criss-crossing the country on their own headlining tour which includes
upcoming sold-out shows in Asbury Park, N.J., Los Angeles, San
Francisco, Denver and a two-night show in Chicago that follows the
recent at-capacity shows in Philadelphia and New York City,
plus multiple other major market sell-outs.
“Simply
put, I have never seen an artist grow from Joe’s Pub to a sold-out
PlayStation Theater in just a year,” AEG Live’s Adam Weiser said of the
band Vice predicted is “on the cusp of superstardom.” “It’s amazing to watch and to know that the best has yet to come.”
Old Dominion’s 90-minute energetic set included “Nowhere Fast” and “Said Nobody” from their debut album, Meat and Candy, as
well as the two-week No. 1 “Break Up With Him,” their Top 5 “Snapback”
and their current single, “Song For Another Time,” which is Top 10 and
climbing. With dozens of songwriting credits to their name, the night’s
set list spanned some of today’s biggest songs with the crowd at times
so loud the band had to step away from their microphones to take it all
in.
“We’re just starting our headlining tour, it’s called the Meat and Candy Tour,” Ramsey addressed the crowd during their set on Saturday night after finishing “Til It’s Over” saying,We’ve
only played a couple of shows, but the thing that’s sticking out is …
you guys sing songs like that, that have never been played on the radio
before. And it makes us really proud of the album we made.”
In
2016, Old Dominion has seen wins at the ACM, Music Row, ACCA and AIMP
Awards and is currently nominated for two CMA awards at the upcoming 50th CMA
Awards in November for Vocal Group of the Year and Best New Artist. Old
Dominion has also been nominated for their first American Music Award
for Favorite Duo or Group – Country.
