Diana Upton-Hill — 12-Pack

Diana Upton-Hill —
12-Pack
  1. Diana, what is your earliest
    musical memory?
Singing along with whatever was blasting
from my Dad’s HUGE stereo. Usually some awesome chick rock or pop
album was playing…Pat Benatar, The Bangles, Madonna…but I
remember The Beatles and Elton John quite a bit as well. We would
dance around the house and I thought it was the greatest experience
    ever. It pretty much was.
  1. Name a song, in any genre, that
    you wish you had written
    . “Annie’s Song.” Because it
is just perfect, in my opinion. The most perfect song ever.
  1. If they made a movie about your
life, what would it be called
    ? Break Through
  1. If you could be somebody else
for a day, who would it be
? Dolly Parton. I bet she just has
an absolute ball no matter what’s happening any given day.
  1. Outside of music, what do you
    like to do to relax
? Read a book and drink a big mug of hot
cocoa with marshmallows. Lots of marshmallows!
  1. If you could have dinner with
George Strait or George Washington, which would it be and why
    ?
George Strait. For his wisdom and guidance on this crazy world we
call the entertainment biz. Plus, he’s just so handsome!
  1. If you could live anywhere in
the world, where would it be
    ? I’ve never been, but I hear
San Diego has the most perfect weather year-round. Sounds pretty
nice coming out of the rough winter we’ve all had, but maybe I’d
    get bored with that.
  1. If you could record or perform
a song with another artist or group, who would that “dream duet”
    be
? Jewel. I would LOVE to sing some harmonies with her. I
pretty much have all her songs memorized already, too, so I’m
    ready!
  1. Who are your heroes or role
    models, personally
? I look up to different people for
different things, but I’d have to say my grandmothers (who both
passed away in 2012) made a huge impact on my life. They taught me
so much about the world and, more importantly, about love. And they
both were such spit-fires! I miss them everyday.
  1. Who are your heroes or role
    models musically
? Jewel, Mika, Sarah Brightman, Dolly
Parton, Martina McBride, John Denver, Madonna
  1. Which
song or album are you listening to the most right now
    ? Mika’s
Songbook Vol. 1 is on repeat in my car right now. He’s just so fun
and his music is absolutely brilliant! GREAT for driving.
  1. If you only have one CD for
seven days on a deserted island, what artist would it be
    ? “
Fleetwood Mac, The Rumours album, specifically. MAYBE I’d get
tired of it by the end of seven days, but I doubt it. I just doubt
    it.
