Breakout Country Rock Band Kicks Off Rucker’s Sold Out Southern Style Tour NJ Stop on Thursday Night; Southernality Out June 9, Available for Pre-Order Now
NEW YORK – (May 15, 2015) – More than a million fans watched A Thousand Horses rock Fox & Friends on Thursday, just the start of a high-visibility 24 hours for the breakout Republic Nashville country rockers.
The group performed their record-breaking debut single “Smoke” from their forthcoming album, Southernality, out June 9, on the Fox News Network morning show before kicking off Darius Rucker’s Southern Style Tour
in Holmdel, N.J. Host Elisabeth Hasselbeck interviewed the band outside
the Fox studios in New York before the “Smoke” performance, which can
be seen here. The group returned 24 hours later to back Rucker’s “Wagon Wheel” on the show. See that soulful performance here. “Smoke” is currently No. 4 and climbing on the charts.
“Man, what an incredible week,” said lead singer Hobby. “We were
looking forward to our two national television performances, but were
totally surprised by the CMT nomination. It’s an awesome feeling to know
our music is connecting with the fans.”
The song has helped the group embark on one of the most exciting debuts
in recent country music memory. A Thousand Horses set a record for
initial charting of a first single and the song about a love interest
whose presence you just can’t shake continues to climb toward No. 1.
Fans who want a preview of more can pre-order Southernality on iTunes and receive six downloads immediately, including “Smoke.”
ATH will play the CMA Music Festival in June in Nashville and a handful of select festival appearances along with their Southern Style Tour appearances.
