Full of Trouble’ for Country Music

Laura McCormick Opens Pandora’s ‘Box Full of Trouble’ for Country Music’s Boundaries
2014 has been a pivotal year for country artist Laura McCormick
who recently gave up her successful career as an ICU nurse to pursue
her true passion, music. Going from band aids to band rehearsals,
McCormick has been hard at work on her debut album Box Full of Trouble, which is available today on iTunes, Amazon and other online retailers.
This
gutsy Tullahoma, TN native has seen her risky move pay off. McCormick’s
music video for her current single, “Feel the Fire,” is currently
airing on ZUUS Country and Great American Country online.
Box Full of Trouble,
which showcases McCormick’s powerful set of pipes, southern rock spunk
and heartfelt lyrics, is proving to be ‘trouble’ for country music’s
leading ladies of today, who are now faced with some fierce competition.
“I
grew up loving country music but have always had rock and roll in my
soul,” says the Southern spitfire. “I always knew music was what I was
meant to do and I’m so excited to finally be living my dream.”
What
makes this tunesmith’s debut release even more impressive is the fact
that she co-produced and co-wrote all 8 songs on the album. From party
girl, whiskey-drinkin’ anthems to soulful songs about heartbreak and
vulnerability, this album is a profound display of McCormick’s
songwriting skills. Songs like “Feel the Fire” and “Tuff Chick” show off
Laura’s classic rock influences whereas tracks like “One” and “I’m
Gonna Break Your Heart” display her earthy folk-infused vocals.
“It’s
just so surreal to even think that I have my own album! I’m extremely
grateful to finally share my music with the world,” says Laura.
With
years of performing under her belt and an infectious and passionate
personality, it is clear that Laura McCormick is ready to take the
industry by storm. Providing audiences with a much needed dose of
feminine edge, Box Full of Trouble has introduced a fresh face to
country music’s female roster.
