FRANK SOLIVAN & DIRTY KITCHEN LAUNCH TOUR
FOR NEW ALBUM’S AUGUST RELEASE

Destinations Include East and West coasts, Rockies, New Mexico, Canada

AUSTIN,
Texas —The bluegrass community has been toasting Frank Solivan &
Dirty Kitchen since the Washington, D.C. band first hit the scene, and
they’re about to pile up even more accolades with the launch of their
summer tour and the Aug. 12 release of their second Compass Records’
album, Cold Spell. From Delaware to Nevada, the band will traverse nearly 20 states (including their home) and British Columbia.

Lead
vocalist/mandolinist/fiddler Solivan and bassist Dan Booth have known
one another since they were teens in Alaska; they’re joined by banjoist
Mike Munford, winner of the 2013 IBMA Banjo Player of the Year award,
and guitarist Chris Luquette, who won IBMA’s 2013 Instrumentalist of the
Year Momentum Award. Noted for their individual virtuosity,
well-executed interplay and close harmonies, they expertly deliver
precise, intricate compositions without ever stepping on one another’s
musical toes. Following their last release, 2013’s On the Edge, Engine 145 called Frank Solivan & Dirty Kitchen “one of the most exciting bands in bluegrass today.”

Together,
the quartet sparks a fiery sound so hot, summer listeners might find
themselves begging for ice cubes — or an actual cold spell.
