CD: MIKE JOHNSON Livin’ Lost Love

MIKE JOHNSON

Livin’ Lost Love

Livin’ Lost Love On The Jukebox Again – The
Heartaches Are Callin’ – Old Lovesick Fool – The Day Hank Williams Died –
Corner Of The Bar

Mike Johnson is a ‘well known’ country music singer,
composer, recording artist, producer, fan, just about anything you have
to be to be in country music in the Washington DC area.  He is well
known in the area for his work, especially in Virginia where he lives.
He’s also a well known yodeler as so aptly demonstrated on “The
Heartaches Are Callin'”  Mike is an inductee in America’s Old Time
Country Music Hall of Fame, deservedly so.  He’s still at it on this
project, although a couple of the songs did not cue in as I was
listening.  “Old Lovesick Fool” has some interesting backing, and Mike’s
voice is easy to identify.  I can tell it’s him singing just as soon as
the first note comes out.  He’s also the producer of James Adelsberger,
and I can hear Mike’s work there as well.  Between the two of them, we
have some pretty neat country music coming out of Virginia.  I’ll be
sending this CD of Mike’s along to the Rural Roots Music Commission,
we’ll let them decide who gets what.  Roughshod Records, P O Box 100933,
Arlington, VA 22210.
