I remember so well when Bobby Lewis came to Missouri
Valley, Iowa, to be inducted into America’s Country Music Hall of Fame.
We had a great time, but that was a few years ago.  Now, I’m listening
to Bobby Lewis again, and here he is again, and he sounds as good or
better than he ever has.  BUT, he had to find a way to find a studio
of ‘real’ country again, so he made the trek to Texas, Pantego Sound
Studio in Arlington to be exact.  And what a nice treasure ensued.  The
trip was worth it, and the wait, on my part, was really worth it.
Classic country music, much as a lot of folks in Nashville wish would go
away, simply won’t.  Bobby Lewis is one of those gifted artists that
says so.  He also still plays the instrument called the “Lute” a musical
instrument mentioned in the Bible, and one that Bobby Lewis plays so
well.  I like all of the songs Bobby has on this CD, he even has one
called “Rock-A-Billy Days” dedicated to Buddy Holly.  Nice job well done
too. Another great classic intro by a riveting steel is “Talk Back
Trembling Lips” with some good harmony singing as well. I also like the
older style country harmony with Diane McCall on the last song “World Of
Love.”  Bobby Lewis has a lot of decals and stickers on his guitar
case, because he’s seen a few miles in his country music life, but more
importantly, every time he does a show he just keeps adding fans to his
long long list of folks who truly appreciate real country music, and in
that same vein, who truly appreciate Bobby Lewis.  Good CD all the way
around you DJ’s who are looking for something new, something nice,
something real, something country. It’s available on Heart of Texas
Records, 1701 South Bridge, Brady, TX 76825
