BOB HARRIS RECOGNIZED AT 2013 CMA INTERNATIONAL AWARDS RECEPTION

– International and domestic industry professionals alike gathered this evening
at the Country Music Hall of Fame for the annual CMA International Media Reception
and the presentation of the 2013 CMA International Awards. Jeff Walker was the recipient
of the Jo Walker-Meador Award which recognizes outstanding achievement by an individual
or company in advocating and supporting Country Music’s marketing development
in territories outside the United States. Bob Harris received the CMA
International Country Broadcaster Award which recognizes outstanding achievement
by radio broadcasters outside the United States who have made important contributions
for the development of Country Music in their country. The International Artist
Award for 2013 was presented to Taylor Swift for the second
time – she first received the award in 2009. The Award is presented for outstanding
achievement by a U.S.-based artist who contributes to the awareness and development
of Country Music outside the United States.
