Houston, TX – KEEP IT COUNTRY, the sophomore effort from Country Music recording artist Jason Cassidy, is now available online and wherever CDs are sold. Wrapping up strong presale activity through distribution partners iTunes and retail giant, Best Buy,
the anticipation for the long awaited album is over! Thanks in part to
loyal fans, radio support and strong promotional activity, KEEP IT COUNTRY debuted at #11 on the iTunes Country chart. Featuring the #1 single,
Blame It On Waylon” (written by Josh Thompson and Rhett Akins), plans are being readied for a national roll-out of the song.

A tribute to the keepers of the old country sound, this new collection of 11 recordings features three of Cassidy‘s original works as well as the songwriting talents of Larry Bastian,Garth Brooks, Craig Wiseman, Matt Nolen, Jamey Johnson, Aaron Tippin, Kevin Fowler, and even one from the mighty Merle Haggard.
Carrying on with the feel of the lead single “Blame It On Waylon,” honky tonk vibes prevail on songs such as “Damn Good Beer,””Take It Off,” “In My Wildest Dreams,” and a remake of The Hag’s “Stay Here and Drink.”  The most intimate of moments of life and love are explored on ballads like “Nothing Holds A Memory (Like a Song)” and “Sweet Memories.” No emotion is left untouched as one of the most talked about songs, “You” (a personal memento Cassidy wrote for his bride on their wedding day), conveys the heartfelt emotion shown in his previous hit “What If” (a #1 video on CMT Pure) while his “haunting” version of Jamey Johnson’s “Cover Your Eyes” reminds us that real country music is alive and well.
KEEP IT COUNTRY was produced by Greg Hunt of Rosewood Studio in Tyler, Texas (Steve Holy, LeAnn Rimes) who had a hand in the success of Cassidy’s most recent successful singles “Ride of Your Life” and “Blame It On Waylon.”
Cassidy recently performed the #1 single and many of his acclaimed hits during “Waylonfest 2013” in Whiteface, Texas where he joined Shooter Jennings, Jason Boland & The Stragglers and Jackson Taylor at the ultimate Waylon Jennings tribute event. CD release parties in Cassidy‘s
hometown of Houston are nearing “sold-out” status as loyal fans eager
to hear new music are showing up in support of the release.
