Lyle Lovett and Robert Earl Keen to perform Americana Blackberry Farm Event

(NASHVILLE, Tenn.)  Nov. 16, 2012 –
Texas meets Tennessee when two of the Longhorn State’s most celebrated
singer-songwriters perform at the 3rd annual Americana Spring
Celebration, to be held March 22-23, 2013 at Blackberry Farm, a
world-class luxury resort breathtakingly situated in the Great Smoky
Mountains of East Tennessee.

This
year’s musical experience will feature legendary Texas troubadours Lyle
Lovett and Robert Earl Keen, playing before the inspiring backdrop of
Blackberry Farm to benefit the not-for-profit artist advocacy
group. Reservations are available at (800) 648-2348 or www.blackberryfarm.com.

“This
event has become an important fundraiser for our organization and I
can’t imagine a finer setting or two finer performers,” said Jed Hilly,
Executive Director of the Americana Music Association. “It doesn’t get
better than a weekend in the mountains with Lyle and Robert Earl!”

Multi
GRAMMY Award winner and Americana Music Association Trailblazer Award
recipient Lyle Lovett has released 13 albums and is one of Texas’
premier songwriters, known for his incisive and witty lyrics and
eclectic set of musical influences. Since his 1986 debut, Lovett has
been entertaining fans who appreciate literate pop and country music –
with a knife twist.

“I
wish every gig I played was as nice as Blackberry Farm,” Lovett joked.
“We can’t wait to join our Americana friends again in the Smoky
Mountains this spring.”

With
11 studio albums and six live albums to his credit, Texas Americana
songwriter Robert Earl Keen is known for his slice-of-life odes to
outlaws and in-laws alike, including “The Road Goes On Forever” and the
holiday classic, “Merry Christmas From the Family.”

“We’re
going to have a fantastic weekend and support a great cause,” Keen
said. “The Americana Music Association does so much to advance the music
and the artists. Lyle and I plan to have a blast and make the most of
it.”
