NASHVILLE, TN – (November 7, 2012) – RCA Nashville’s Jake Owen
is on fire with his platinum-selling smash “Barefoot Blue Jean Night”
sharing honors as ASCAP Country Music Song of the Year, appearing as a
presenter on the 46th Annual CMA Awards and capping off the whirlwind
week off with two sold-out shows in Texas – Cowboy’s in San Antonio
(11/2) and the famed Billy Bob’s in Fort Worth (11/3).
The
four-time American Country Awards nominee continues to break the “CMT
ON TOUR” record for the most consecutive sold-out shows in the tour’s
history, and is nearing advance sell-outs for upcoming shows in Myrtle
Beach, SC (11/8), Atlanta, GA (11/9), and Savannah, GA (11/10). With
these touring milestones, it’s no surprise that Jake was selected for a
coveted slot on Jason Aldean’s 2013 NIGHT TRAIN TOUR.
Jake’s
red-hot single, “The One That Got Away,” is Top 5-and-climbing the
country radio charts. The song is from his chart-topping 2011 album Barefoot Blue Jean Night that has launched back-to-back,
multi-week No. 1 hits with the PLATINUM-selling title track penned by
Dylan Altman, Eric Paslay, and Terry Sawchuk, and the GOLD-certified
“Alone with You.” Jake’s new Endless Summer EP, produced by Joey Moi and executive produced by Jake himself, made an impressive debut at #2 on Billboard’s Top Country Albums chart.
Jake
first captured the national spotlight with his hits “Startin’ with Me,”
“Don’t Think I Can’t Love You” and “Eight Second Ride.” His revival of
“Life in a Northern Town” with Sugarland and Little Big Town in 2008
earned him Grammy and CMA Award nominations. Jake was named 2009’s Top New Male Vocalist by the Academy of Country Music, and earlier this year, Entertainment Weekly’s music issue ranked him among “The 30 Greatest Artists Right Now.”
