Country
singer-songwriter Chase Rice has earned the accolade of a gold single
with the success of his co-write on new country duo Florida Georgia
Line’s (FGL) hit single, “Cruise.” The song was penned by Chase and his
talented circle of fellow singer songwriters Jesse Rice, FGL’s Tyler
Hubbard and Brian Kelley, and FGL producer Joey Moi. (pictured [l-r]

certification of a gold single requires sales of 500,000 units.

“Cruise”
continues to see heightened success on the charts, currently climbing at
#19 on the Billboard Hot Country Chart and #5 on Billboard Country
Digital Charts. It has also received praise from some of country’s top
acts on Twitter, such as Keith Urban, Taylor Swift, and Sugarland’s Jennifer Nettles,
who recently tweeted the duo to say, “Confession: Fave new guilty
pleasure on country radio: @FLAGALine “Cruise”.I dance. Big, ole belly
and all. If u like country, check it out.”

Chase released his independent debut album Dirt Road Communion
in March 2012, peaking at #6 on the Country iTunes chart and punching
through at #48 on the Billboard Top Country Album Chart. The album
features strong rooted contemporary country songs that invoke a good
times spirit like the lead single “How She Rolls,” alongside “Pop a Top”
and “Whoa,” but you’ll also find personal and insightful examinations
of his darker side on “Jack Daniel’s & Jesus” and “Room 205.” Chase
moved to Music City shortly after coming in runner-up on the hit TV
series CBS Survivor: Nicaragua.  Before his bold move to
Nashville, Chase was a star on the University of North Carolina – Chapel
Hill football team.  He’d trade in his Carolina blue to suit up for
Hendrick Motorsports after college where he served on the pit crew for
Ryan Newman and Jimmie Johnson.  Since the move, this North Carolina
reared performer has been running at full throttle developing a grass
roots connection to his ever expanding fan base. This CAA booked artist
has hit stages throughout 2012 with Willie Nelson, Jake Owen, Kellie
Pickler, Kip Moore and Joe Nichols with a fall line-up of dates
including bills with Love & Theft and Phil Vassar.
