artist/songwriter Natalie Howard proudly announces her Finalist
Nomination for the
Capital News Australian Independent Female Vocalist of the Year in
The Southern Stars -The Australian Independent Country Music Awards with her current single
You Oughta Marry Me‘.
The Gala Awards night will be held at the
Mercy Theatre St. Joseph’s College Mildura on Saturday 6th October and
is a wrap to Mildura’s annual Independent Country Music Festival.
‘You Oughta Marry Me’ is the follow-up to Natalie’s Top 5 hit song and Top 10 video clip
‘Feel Like Letting Go‘ – both from her forthcoming album.
Co-written by Natalie, Billy Simon and Jimmie Lee Sloas
‘You Oughta Marry Me’ was tracked in Nashville before they ever had a lyric.  All they had was the idea!
This pumping, rocking song was produced by
Jimmie Lee Sloas, a two-time Grammy Award winning producer, an “A” list
studio musician, 2011 and 2012 Music Row Bass Player of the Year who
has recorded with Carrie Underwood, Blake Shelton, Keith Urban, Luke
Bryan, Reba McEntire, John Fogerty and most recently Taylor Swift to
name a few.
‘You Oughta Marry Me‘ entered
Australia’s TMN(The Music Network) Top 20 Chart for Country Airplay at
#3, rose to #1 on FLOW FM Top 20 and #2 on 98.9FM All Australian Top 20.
This week it is #1 on Mildura’s HOT-FM Top 100 Country Hits, and
currently maintains it’s bullet at #10 on Australia’s Country Tracks Top
30 Singles Chart.
The video clip, filmed on the beaches and
harbour in Sydney and directed by Rusty Gate Films, was released as a
“Country Pick of the Week” on Australia’s Country Music Channel.(CMC).

is at radio now on CRS #157 Track 10.
